The Oregon Coast shines during the summer, and August brings one of its most creative traditions—the Sand Art Contest (this is different than the Sand Castle contest) on August 15, held on the beach near Chinook Winds Casino Resort. This is open to everyone. It’s free to view or $20 for your group of up to four to create your own sand art! For an unforgettable evening, plan to attend the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Cascade Head Biosphere on July 18. The event is called Knight Sky.
